Bible Clubs
Walking the Way of the Word
The name itself reflects both our intent—to teach the children the way of the Word, and our goal—to see the children walk in the way of the Word. The Lord gave us our first neighborhood Bible club in 2000, and through the years, it has been encouraging to see the doors that have opened into the hearts of children and into their homes as well. Bible clubs have been operating almost continuously in most of the neighborhoods around our church since 2000.
Combined Bible Clubs
Three times a year, the various clubs all unite for special occasions—our combined Bible clubs. The combined clubs usually signal the termination of a curriculum cycle, and they provide an opportunity for a special Bible lesson presentation and for the awarding of prizes for Scripture memory. We typically meet on a Saturday in late April/early May, September, and December for these occasions.
Club T-shirts
The children earn the t-shirts by saying Bible verses, and the t-shirts give us an opportunity to reward their efforts in a public way. In addition, children can earn Bibles, other Christian literature, and Bible adventure CDs.
Curriculum
To aid in the systematic instruction of our clubbers, we have customized a four-year teaching cycle that focuses on the Person of Christ, Proverbs, Bibliology, and Bible examples of godliness. Each lesson emphasizes a single truth and focuses on a passage for Scripture memory.
